FUN-damentals Retreat
Pause. Breathe. Release. Let Go. Enjoy.
The Fun-damentals Retreat - a day of remembering the simple things that help us feel alive: creativity, connection, movement, music, ritual, community and joy.
Remember what it feels like to feel alive.
When was the last time you laughed until your cheeks hurt?
Created something just because it was fun?
Danced without caring who was watching?
Made a mess?
Made some noise?
Felt completely present?
Somewhere along the way, many of us trade joy and fun for responsibility. We become experts at looking after everyone else, while forgetting ourselves. Life becomes routines and to-do lists.
Especially if you’ve spent years being the sensible one, the strong one, or the one everyone relies on.
The FUN-damentals Retreat is your invitation to remember.
Not to become someone new, but to reconnect with the woman who already exists behind the to-do lists, the expectations and the pressure to keep it all together.
This isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about giving yourself permission to let go.
What Awaits You
An afternoon designed to gently release the layers of stress, responsibility and “shoulds” through play, creativity, movement and connection.
Together, we’ll explore the simple things that make us feel most human and like ourselves:
Joy
Creativity
Community
Music
Movement
Nature
Ritual
Rest
There will be moments of laughter, reflection and some surprises along the way.
And probably a few moments where you'll wonder why we don't do this more often
“I feel ready to make changes to my life”
(Wild Woman Retreat)
“A wonderful day with insightful conversation, grounding meditation and movement and lots of laughs.”
(Wild Woman Retreat)
”I would attend future events with no hesitation”
(Wild Woman Retreat)
“I am so grateful to Alex and Sarah for putting on these retreats. It helps me to get out of my head and explore new things.”
(Release and Unleash Retreat)
Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do….
Is have a little more fun
The Let It Out Session
Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is stop holding it all in.
We'll begin by safely releasing some of that built-up frustration, anger and emotional clutter in wonderfully satisfying ways.
Think:
• Smashing china
• Banging saucepans
• Taking a swing at a piñata
No judgement or needing to explain yourself, just permission to release what's been weighing you down, what feels frustrating, in a fun way.
Get Creative
Once we've created some space, we'll slow things down.
You'll design your own beautifully imperfect "Fuck It" card - part affirmation, part reminder, part permission slip for the days when life feels overwhelming.
You'll also create your own natural smudge stick using seasonal flowers, herbs and greenery from the garden.
No artistic experience required (believe me, ours is limited!). It isn't about making something perfect, but about enjoying the process and switching off as you do it.
Ending in Deep Calm
As the afternoon draws to a close, you'll be guided into a restorative sound bath.
After releasing, creating and laughing it’s your time to receive and allow your nervous system to settle and rest.
The aim is that you’ll leave feeling lighter than when you arrived, not because you've become a different person but because you've remembered what it feels like to simply be yourself, to let go and to have fun.
